Join us for Overnight Adventures Training

Wednesday, March 20th, 2013

7pm sharp [please plan to arrive by 6:45]

Lawrence Branch of the Mercer County Library

Get it done... be ready to take your troop on almost any overnight

This course qualifies adult volunteers to take girls on overnight trips at museums/activity centers, lock-ins, hotels and places with no outdoor cooking.

 

During this session we will discuss the following topics: the value of girls participating in outdoor activities, girl/adult partnership, planning & progression, characteristics of girl readiness, equipment appropriate for a simple overnight, required forms, create a kaper chart, safety measures and emergency procedures.

 

This course should be taken a minimum of six (6) weeks prior to the trip.

 

Girl Scouts who are 14 years or older may attend this course. 

Please bring your Green Card [new leaders will receive their Green Card at the training]
